Privacy policy
This policy explains how we process personal data received with contact requests and quote requests. It is based on the EU General Data Protection Regulation (2016/679).

What data we process
Through the contact form: name, company, email address, phone number, selected service, project location and duration, the content of the message and the page from which it was sent. For contacts by email and phone, we process the information they contain, such as drawings attached to a message.
The form does not store data on the website: it opens your email program with a pre-filled message, and the data reaches us by email when you send the message.
What the data is used for
Responding to contacts, preparing quotes, carrying out agreed work and managing the customer relationship. The data is not sold or disclosed to third parties for marketing purposes.
Legal basis
Steps taken at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract, such as preparing a quote (Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR), and the controller's legitimate interest in managing the customer relationship (Article 6(1)(f)).
Retention
We keep personal data only as long as necessary to respond to the contact, prepare a quote and manage the customer relationship. If a contact does not lead to a customer relationship, we delete the data when it is no longer needed for handling the quote.
Data related to invoicing and accounting is kept for the period required by law, such as the Finnish Accounting Act.
Recipients
We use service providers that process data on our behalf: an email service provider and the hosting service Sevalla, which delivers the website to visitors and processes technical data such as IP addresses in doing so.
The website's fonts are loaded from Google's Google Fonts service. Your browser's IP address is then transmitted to Google, including outside the European Union.
Transfers outside the EU and EEA
If a service provider processes data outside the EU or EEA, the transfer is based on transfer mechanisms approved by the European Commission, such as standard contractual clauses.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, request its rectification or erasure, restrict its processing, object to processing and transfer the data from one system to another. Send your request to nuutti.peltomaki@terrametrics.fi.
If you consider that the processing of your data violates data protection legislation, you can lodge a complaint with the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
Cookies
The website does not use cookies and does not store data in your browser. There is no visitor tracking, analytics or advertising tracking, so no cookie consent is needed. Loading the fonts from Google Fonts does not set cookies, but your IP address is transmitted to Google.
If visitor or advertising tracking is added later, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before any cookies are set.
